ABOUT

OUR WORK

MAYE TEKUTA Foundation is raising funds to transform WATER ACCESS and a more SUSTAINABLE LIFE for seven families, including 25 children in La Laguna Community. The project will enable long-term self reliance.

The Wirrarika community of La Laguna relies on a natural water spring that provides clear, potable water year-round. The spring flourishes in the rainy season and remains a reliable source during the dry season; however the community currently lacks adequate infrastructure to bring this vital resource to the main communal areas.

PROJECT

GOALS

-Ensure 24/7 access to potable water for drinking, household use and gardening.

-Plant 20-30 fruit trees around the communal area, homes and schools to help food security and ecological health.

-Construct a communal greenhouse to support year-round food cultivation.

-Build 3 communal cabins (cabañas) to provide rest and shelter for visitors, family members and community gatherings during festivities.

-Install 2 dry toilets and designated shower areas to improve hygiene and sanitation.
